1.TSUBASA BRIDGE

TSUBASA Bridge is the first cable-stayed bridge in Kingdom of Cambodia. This bridge is 2,215m long crossing the Mekong River in Neak Loeung, and was constructed by Japanese Grant Aid.
The main bridge is a 3-span continuous prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge with 640m long, 330m of maximum span. The edge girder was adopted for main girder to save the weight. And to save the cost, the multiple cast-in-place pile foundation was selected which did not require a temporary cofferdam.
Various technologies were employed to solve the hard condition of the site, to shorten the construction period, and to reduce the cost. It is expected that this bridge contributes the development of this area and a friendship between Cambodia and Japan. Consequently, this bridge deserves the Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka Award.
2. YOKOHAMA EXPRESSWAY NORTH ROUTE TRUSS BRIDGE

The Yokohama Ring Expressway North Route Truss Bridge is located in the north section of the Yokohama Ring Expressway forming a framework of the traffic network in Yokohama City.
This bridge is a 158m long, double deck simple truss bridge with steel plate deck and possesses the longest span among those of the nation’s same bridge type.
Since the constraint of road alignment and natural environment of the construction site have been taken into account on designing and erecting of the bridge properly, it is considered to contribute to the future development of the bridge technology and deserves the Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka award.
3. The Okegawa Viaduct

The Okegawa viaduct is a PC multi-span continuous box girder bridg, a total length of approximately 3.2km along the Metropolitan Inter-City Expressway, between the Okegawa-kano Interchange and Shobu rest area.
To shorten construction periods, precast concrete segments are adopted for this bridge whose webs were designed as butterfly-shaped concrete panels. The RC columns with interlocking hoops were selected in the substructure.
This bridge with durability and earthquake resistance was constructed in a short period using the best of bridge technology, and it can contribute significantly to the development of bridge technology, and deserves the Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka award.
