Joint Seminar


JSCE has Agreement of Cooperation (AOC) with 25 counterpart societies/institutions around the world. Based on the AOC, JSCE and the counterparts organize joint projects, exchange technical and scientific information and work together to solve global issues with civil engineering perspectives.

In the globalizing world, we consider it fundamental to collaborate with and exchange information with international counterparts to better serve the members and civil engineering profession and to contribute to building better infrastructure, a better quality of life for the present and future societies. Organizing joint seminars with the AOC societies/institutions is one of our efforts.

The below listed are just some of the past joint seminars. In addition, we hold seminars in particular disciplines on a regular basis with our Asian counterparts such as KSCE (Korea)-JSCE concrete seminars, CICHE (Taiwan)-KSCE-JSCE seminars on hybrid structures. Also, recently JSCE has had a seminar by request from MACE in Mongolia and will continue this effort.

JSCE has promoted various forms of international cooperation for example joint seminar, workshop, technical exchange and disaster-related technical investigation, and assistance and will expand that more dynamically and more responsive to the needs of society.

International Activities Committee (IAC) plays a major role for JSCE to organize joint activities in cooperation with committees in Research Division of JSCE, and since 2004 has received support from International Scientific Exchange Fund.
